Cobia season has not been the banner year we had last year, but we have managed to land some nice fish in the Broad River. Seems most of the big catches have happened offshore at the near shore artificial reefs. No whoppers as of now but we are still catching some nice Cobia near the mouth of the sound and as a bonus the last 3 trips we have hooked at least one Tarpon each trip. Most Tarpon bites have been on the top baits with the fish creating quite a hole in the water eating the bait. I have never landed a Tarpon this early in the summer so we may be in for a good year.
