Redfish have started school

The Bull Reds have left the inshore waters. However, when the weather permits the big boys can be caught near shore on the edge of the Port Royal shipping channel. I plan to do some trolling for them in the next few weeks. I bet they can put a crunch on a slow trolled Drone Spoon. The juvenile Redfish have started school. Thanksgiving week we had some great weather and the Redfish were willing to eat. Most fish were in the slot and were glad to eat our Gulp baits, and cut Mullet. We also ventured out to the General Gordon wreck and hammered some Sheepshead until we ran out of fiddlers. Grey Trout also hit small pieces of cut bait. December might be the best month of the year to fish the low country and I am fired up and ready to go!
